I'm surprised you didn't call this guy "Vietnamese Tommy Wiseau" (foreigner who loves American film moves to America and loonily decides to compare himself to famous movie directors? Yeah, James Nguyen and Tommy Wiseau sound eerily similar here.) or call him out on the hanging shot with Vertigo and The Birds posters looming in the background, as if we didn't already fucking know this Nguyen guy loves comparing himself to Alfred Hitchcock. Same scene you pointed out with the chair squeaking.
